ARK21 & MORE is an association based in Termoli, Italy, founded by families and supporters to create opportunities and a more inclusive future for people with Down syndrome and other disabilities. It supports young people and adults, particularly after they leave school, while also helping families access information, services, and peer networks. The association offers practical and emotional support, personalized development activities, and opportunities to build skills for greater independence and employment.
Its workshops cover everyday autonomy, such as using public transport, preparing meals, and shopping, alongside creative projects, cooking, music therapy, group dancing, and social activities. Participants can also take part in sports through local partnerships, gardening, guided outings, and community events. ARK21 & MORE’s AutonomiLab provides a structured setting to practice personal, domestic, and social skills and develop work-related competencies, with activities designed around each person’s needs and supported by qualified professionals and volunteers.
Through collaborations with local businesses, sports groups, and community members, the association promotes social participation, self-esteem, and stronger connections between people with disabilities, their families, and the wider community
