About ArkDes
ArkDes is Sweden's national center for architecture and design. Currently closed for renovation until June 14, 2024, ArkDes is undergoing a transformation to unveil its hidden treasure: a unique collection of four million objects. Soon, visitors will have the opportunity to explore this cultural gem.
During the renovation, Café Blom remains open as usual. In addition to its collection, ArkDes offers various services and products. Exhibitions, libraries, and schools are all part of the experience.
Think Tank, Mat och dryck (Food and Drinks), and digital visits are also available for those who want to engage with ArkDes. Furthermore, ArkDes is involved in research and collaboration. It supports guest researchers and conducts conferences on topics like creativity, knowledge, and skills in the field of design and architecture.
The museum also participates in Nordic partnerships to promote sustainability and green transformation. Overall, ArkDes is a hub for architecture and design enthusiasts, offering diverse opportunities to explore, learn, and engage with the world of art and culture
