About ArkPSA
The Arkansas Political Science Association (ArkPSA) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization incorporated in Arkansas, bringing together people interested in the scientific study of government and politics. Its members include university and secondary-school educators, graduate and undergraduate students, practitioners, and others engaged with the field. Established at the University of Central Arkansas on March 1, 1974, the Association supports political science scholarship and connection across the state.
It publishes the peer-reviewed Midsouth Political Science Review at least once a year and organizes annual meetings, with calls for papers and opportunities to recognize scholarly work through its Best Paper Awards and Distinguished Scholar Award. ArkPSA also shares information about officers, past presidents, the Association’s history, and academic programs and departments. Its digital archives preserve materials related to the organization, while news and interview features highlight developments in Arkansas political science.
Through its publications, meetings, awards, and resources, ArkPSA serves educators, students, practitioners, and others who study or teach politics and government
