ARMA FERRE is a school dedicated to European martial arts, with a focus on historical fencing and the traditions associated with Johannes Liechtenauer, whose techniques were developed in the second half of the 14th century. Its teaching draws on historical manuscripts while also seeking to develop and refine practical training methods. The school aims to preserve historical knowledge and advance students’ theoretical and practical skills.
ARMA FERRE offers themed weekend seminars, as well as three-day and six-day intensive programs. Seminar content can be adapted to participants’ needs. Training covers historical weapons and disciplines including longsword, langmesser, dagger, sword and shield, poleaxe, and various types of staff. Areas of study include Blossfechten, or unarmoured fencing, and Harnischfechten, or armoured fencing, as well as preparation for Polish-style duel tournaments.
The school also offers SYREO modern self-defence, intended for women, students, and older adults, including instruction in the use of a telescopic baton. Its seminars may also interest people exploring stage and theatrical performance or historical scenes for film productions.
