Armgen

Étude généalogique Chahbazian is a genealogy research practice founded in 2023 to support professionals and individuals, with a particular specialization in Armenian genealogy. Based in Bussy-Saint-Georges in the Paris region, it conducts research in France and internationally, drawing on a network that helps trace families across the Armenian diaspora.

For professionals—including genealogy firms, lawyers, insurers, banks and local authorities—the practice researches heirs in inheritance cases, beneficiaries of dormant bank accounts or insurance policies, and owners of unclaimed property. For private clients, it helps reconstruct family histories and create family trees through ancestor research, descendant research or a combination of both. Assignments range from focused inquiries to broader investigations.

The practice also offers genealogy advice and genealogical data digitization. Its work extends beyond Armenian family histories to research in metropolitan France and the French Caribbean. Founder Laurent Le Guyader Chahbazian brings two decades of genealogy experience, including research into Armenian ancestry in France, the United States, Lebanon and Turkey.
