The Military Railroad Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring and serving United States military railway heritage. Its mission is to preserve this history through the conservation and restoration of artifacts, historical reenactments, and static displays that benefit and educate military families and civilian audiences abroad. The Society is building a collection of American military rail history documents and artifacts, with the goal of developing the website into a leading resource on the subject.

The organization shares its work and heritage through online features including a history section, gallery, news, and events. People interested in supporting its mission can sign up for membership, volunteer, donate, or subscribe to its newsletter. The site also offers a merch store and information for military members and groups. Through these activities, the Military Railroad Society connects supporters with military rail history and encourages public engagement with its preservation. Its website provides contact information for inquiries and outlines ways visitors can participate in the Society’s work.
