Arnold's Swim Centre

Arnold’s Swim Centre is a Newcastle swimming facility that has offered swimming lessons since 1967. Located at 46 Kemp Street in The Junction, the centre serves swimmers from infancy through to older adulthood, with instruction for beginners, developing swimmers and national-level competitors. Its facilities include a 25-metre lap pool, a teaching pool, a small pool and a mineral Magna pool, added in 2013. The centre is Swim Australia accredited and is also home to Hunter Swim Club.

Lessons run seven days a week, with programs for babies from four months, toddlers, kindy-aged children and beginners, as well as graded big-pool beginner, Shrimps, intermediate and advanced classes. Teaching covers aquatic survival skills, floating, kicking, breathing and strokes including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Adult lessons and coaching support learners at all levels, from learning to swim to stroke correction and fitness training. The junior squad offers assessed swimmers technique and fitness development, with up to five sessions available weekly.
