ARONC

ARONC, the Association of Friends of Radiotherapy and Clinical Oncology, is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 to support people affected by cancer and improve oncology care. Based in Perugia, it serves as Umbria’s Regional Oncology Listening Center, providing a free point of contact for patients and their families. Its services include listening, specialist consultation, information and guidance on treatment options, helping people better understand their care pathway and make informed decisions.

ARONC also works to improve the welcome and support available in regional oncology facilities, promote professional training, encourage access to advanced medical technologies, and collaborate with doctors and healthcare workers. Its activities are designed to offer practical support throughout the cancer journey, while contributing to research and better-quality care. The organization invites people to participate as volunteers or supporters and raises funds through donations and Italy’s 5x1000 tax allocation. Through its projects, events and regional network, ARONC aims to ensure that patients and their families feel heard, informed and less alone.
