Arrangement Théâtre

Arrangement Théâtre is a theatre company founded in Auxerre, France, in September 2013, with a mission to create work and make theatre accessible to audiences. Its productions draw on real events, personal experiences and significant lives, using carefully crafted writing, expressive performance and playful staging to reveal fresh perspectives on contemporary questions.

The company offers several touring productions: Cœur Serré, which explores a relationship altered by sudden emotional distance; Numéros d’écrou, based on a true theatre workshop involving incarcerated women and men; Jules a menti, which questions the accepted location of the Battle of Alesia; and Corneille Molière l’arrangement, a lively account of a writer and actor’s fifteen-year creative relationship. Designed to travel, the shows aim to reach new audiences.

Alongside performances, Arrangement Théâtre provides cultural activities and professional training. These include theatre workshops and courses, readings, conferences, artist exchanges, spoken-voice and public-speaking coaching, and interventions in schools, cultural venues, healthcare settings and correctional institutions. Artist Valérie Durin leads many activities as an actor, writer and director.
