ARSA

The Agencia de Regulación Sanitaria de Honduras (ARSA) is the national authority responsible for regulating and overseeing products, services, and establishments that affect public health. Its work includes verifying compliance with sanitary requirements and issuing registrations, licenses, and permits. ARSA provides guidance and administrative services for food and beverages, medical devices, pharmaceutical products, clinical trials, lodging and recreation facilities, advertising, and health surveillance and inspection. It also supports entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, and handles donations, special authorizations, and matters through its General Secretariat.

The agency offers online platforms, appointment and case-management services, application information, practical calculators, and training resources. Through its National Centers for Pharmacovigilance and Technovigilance, ARSA provides channels for reporting suspected adverse reactions to medicines and incidents involving medical devices. It also publishes official lists, regulations, notices, health alerts, safety notes, and news. With offices and customs locations across Honduras, ARSA serves the public, businesses, and health professionals seeking regulatory information or assistance.
