ARTAK, the Czech Association of Robotics, Telemedicine and Cybernetics, is a registered association focused on applying technology to rehabilitation, medicine and assistive care. Its mission is to promote robotics, telemedicine and cybernetics in clinical, home and community settings, supporting people with temporary or permanent health disadvantages. The association also works to improve understanding of the human, social, organizational, technological and sustainability factors that shape their lives and interactions with society.
ARTAK develops and supports projects that enable remote therapy and care. Its STORK 2.0 mobile telerehabilitation system allows patients to take part in physiotherapy and occupational therapy remotely, without a therapist’s direct supervision. In collaboration with the Kladruby Rehabilitation Institute, the association operates and develops the Distanční-Terapie.cz remote therapy project, which also hosts a specialized program for patients recovering from COVID-19. Its eAmbulance project provided encrypted patient connections to secure remote therapy and is now complete.
ARTAK works with organizations including CIIRC CTU Prague, INEP, Homebalance, Rehamza, Lázně Bělohrad, VisionCraft and DEX Innovation Centre.
