ArtCares for Kids

ArtCares for Kids is a Miami-based nonprofit founded in 2010 to nurture children’s spirits through art. It serves children in medical settings who are facing psychological, emotional, and physical challenges, including patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The organization uses creative activities as a therapeutic and healing tool, giving children a nonverbal way to express feelings, explore difficult experiences, and maintain a sense of individuality beyond their illness.

ArtCares volunteers create art projects with children in the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Units at Holtz Children’s Hospital. They meet twice a week and offer activities using different materials and art prompts. The organization also provides art project bags and holds creative events for young patients, including seasonal celebrations. Donations help make hospital stays more colorful and pleasant, while volunteers contribute their time to support the children. ArtCares for Kids invites individuals to donate, volunteer, and learn more about its work. Through these efforts, the nonprofit brings opportunities for creativity and self-expression to children receiving medical care.
