Arte de aMAR is an environmental education project led by Equipe F3 Esporte Cultura and Instituto Gas Petro, focused on engaging students, teachers, and school communities through creativity and sustainability. It works with public schools in Rio de Janeiro, serving learners from preschool through ninth grade, as well as adult education and special education programs. The project raises awareness of plastic pollution in the oceans, its effects on marine ecosystems, climate change, and the principles of the circular economy.
Its activities include online and in-person workshops, classroom resources, website content, and playful learning experiences that encourage more sustainable habits. The Arte de aMAR Cultural Contest invites students to create artworks using plastic materials to explore environmental themes. Selected works may be exhibited, and winning students, their teachers, and participating schools can receive awards and recognition.
The project also offers the Turminha dos ODS, with free environmental booklets and interactive activities that introduce children to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
