ArtFin

ArtFin is a Slovak company that connects fine art with finance through investment, gallery, and auction services. Its investment model allows clients to select an artwork from a virtual gallery, with a loan amount set in advance. Rather than purchasing the artwork, the investor becomes a creditor and the work is pledged as security for a limited period. ArtFin says the investment is repaid after one year and promotes a 7.5% annual return, while the site’s headline also refers to a fixed 6% yield. The company states that it guarantees repayment at maturity and that its system is protected by a utility model in the Czech Republic, with patent protection requested in Slovakia.

ArtFin’s art activities are carried out through its associated gallery, Art Capital, and auction house, Art Bid, which exhibit, trade, and manage works by established Slovak artists. The company also offers owners of valuable artworks the opportunity to apply for a loan secured against their art.
