About ArtForce Iowa
ArtForce Iowa is an organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth between the ages of 14 and 21 by providing them with opportunities to develop marketable skills that challenge their creativity, intellect, and physical abilities. With a focus on arts in education, their programs aim to empower youth and create a positive impact on their lives. ArtForce Iowa offers a range of programs and services centered around three key priorities.
Priority I, Youth-Centered, includes Pathways and Heroes programs that provide after-school art workshops and support for underserved and marginalized youth. Priority II, Youth Advocates, focuses on training adults and the broader community in justice, equity, diversity, and intersectionality principles, as well as Youth Mental Health First Aid, to create supportive environments for young people to heal and thrive. Priority III, Strengthening Communities, works towards building strong social support and providing access to resources and opportunities for young people.
