Arthritis Support

Arthritis Support Leicestershire is a small, user-led charity supporting people of all ages who live with arthritis in Leicestershire. It provides guidance, information, activities and a welcoming community for people navigating the condition. While the charity does not offer clinical advice, it connects people with practical support from others who have experience living with different types of arthritis.

Its adapted exercise programme includes hydrotherapy in Market Harborough, Pilates and low-impact workouts in Enderby, and seated exercise sessions in Scraptoft. Sessions are designed for people of all abilities, including those with limited mobility, and can be performed seated or with chair support. The charity also holds monthly café meet-ups in Sileby, Enderby and Leicester, alongside social events throughout the year.

Workshops and publications cover coping strategies, nutrition, pain management and mindfulness. Topics include anti-inflammatory and Mediterranean-style eating, pain prevention and relief, meditation, body scans and self-care. Arthritis Support Leicestershire also offers a Living with Arthritis booklet and welcomes donations to help fund its workshops, activities, social events and support services.
