ArthroScience is a specialist laboratory focused on testing biocidal and non-biocidal products designed to control arthropods. It supports clients throughout the product lifecycle, from early product development and efficacy assessment to preparation for market authorisation. The laboratory conducts product tests in both laboratory and field settings, following international guidelines or developing a tailored test system to meet a client’s specific needs.

Its work covers a broad range of arthropods, including ants, cockroaches, flies, clothes moths, silverfish, mosquitoes, lice and bedbugs. To support reliable testing, relevant species are bred in-house under standardised conditions or sourced from trusted partner companies. ArthroScience also uses a specialised in-vitro feeding method for blood-feeding arthropods, rather than feeding them on vertebrate hosts; its in-vitro clothes louse colony is described as unique to date.
