La passione per il vino, ad Artimino, ha radici antiche, già con il popolo Etrusco. Nel XVII secolo la Famiglia Medici proseguì questa tradizione e i vini di Carmignano, e di Artimino in particolare, furono riconosciuti fra i più pregiati di quel tempo. Nel 1716 con l’editto di Cosimo III venne scritto un documento che ne delimitava i confini di produzione, come un disciplinare, e li definiva “vini atti a navigare”, ovvero da esportazione, data la longevità e la qualità.

About Tenuta di Artimino
Tenuta di Artimino is a renowned brand with a rich history rooted in a passion for wine. Dating back to ancient times with the Etruscans, the tradition of winemaking has been carried on by the Medici family in the 17th century. The wines of Carmignano, and particularly of Artimino, were recognized as some of the finest of that time.
In 1716, an edict by Cosimo III defined the production boundaries and declared them as wines fit for navigation, highlighting their longevity and quality for export. Today, the estate is owned by the Olmo family, who have embraced sustainable and responsible agriculture, blending the ancient history and centennial traditions of the region. With 70 hectares of beautiful vineyards surrounding the UNESCO heritage Villa Medicea La Ferdinanda, Tenuta di Artimino produces wines that showcase the genuine and lesser-known side of Tuscany.
