Artist Proof Studio

Artist Proof Studio (APS) is a South African, community-centred organisation dedicated to fine art printmaking excellence since 1991. It trains talented students from South Africa and other African countries, helping graduates develop as professional art practitioners. Through its arts education programmes, APS also offers opportunities to study printmaking and support for students, including the Gianni Mariano Scholarship Fund.

Alongside training, APS brings artists and experienced printers together to create collaborative print editions. It represents graduate and alumni artists at art fairs and galleries in South Africa and internationally, and provides partnerships and services in print sales and distribution. Visitors can explore and purchase original artworks and fine art prints by students, emerging artists and established South African artists, as well as APS merchandise. The studio’s online shop features individual works and collections, including pieces presented through events such as FNB Art Joburg and the Investec Cape Town Art Fair. By combining education, production and access to art, Artist Proof Studio supports artists while making printmaking and original artworks more accessible to the public.
