About Artizonmuseumjp
Artizon Museum, formerly known as the Bridgestone Museum of Art since 1952, underwent a name change and reopened in January 2020 as a brand-new art museum. Expanding beyond traditional Japanese modern Western paintings, Impressionism, and 20th-century art, Artizon broadens its scope to include antique art and contemporary art, offering a diverse range of art experiences. Located in the lower levels of the 23-story Museum Tower Kyobashi in Tokyo, the museum now occupies three floors spanning 4-6, doubling the exhibition space with modern lighting and air conditioning systems.
The museum's concept of "sensory creativity" encompasses ancient art, Impressionism, modern Japanese art, modern Western art, and contemporary art, providing a rich tapestry of artistic enjoyment for visitors
