Art Projects for Kids

Art Projects for Kids is an educational resource created by art teacher Kathy Barbro to help teachers and families bring creative activities into elementary classrooms. The site offers easy-to-follow, step-by-step drawing lessons, craft projects, painting activities, coloring pages, and art tutorials designed for children. Lessons are organized by grade, season, holiday, theme, art medium, and featured artist, making it easier to find projects that suit different ages, classroom topics, and available supplies.

Many activities use familiar materials and include clear directions intended to reduce preparation time and help children work at their own pace. The collection also features art history projects inspired by artists such as Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Kandinsky, and Romero Britto, along with instructional videos and drawing worksheets. For educators seeking ongoing ideas, Art Projects for Kids offers a free daily email of classroom-ready projects and a Curriculum Club with membership and account access. Its practical, approachable resources are designed to make art instruction more manageable while encouraging children’s confidence, creativity, and enjoyment of making art.
