About Arts Council of Lake Oswego
The Arts Council of Lake Oswego is a renowned organization dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of the community. As a 501c3 organization, the Arts Council collaborates with the City of Lake Oswego to administer the public art program and collection. One of the key components of their work is the Public Art Committee (PAC), which plays a vital role in maintaining, developing, and overseeing the City's impressive public art collection.
This includes both outdoor and indoor portable works of art. The PAC is responsible for selecting, placing, and maintaining artworks acquired through the 1. 5 Percent for Art program.
They also have the authority to approve the artist selection process, evaluate the public art collection, and recommend the use of Public Art Trust Fund monies. Additionally, the committee actively encourages and responds to public art initiatives by private developers and citizens. The Public Art Committee holds monthly meetings where they discuss pertinent matters.
If you're interested in attending a meeting or have any questions, you can contact Norah Crean, the Public Art Manager, via email or phone. The Arts Council of Lake Oswego keeps the community engaged by offering various programs, exhibitions, and the ARTspace Gallery. To stay updated, you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram
