About The Arts Fund
The Arts Fund is a brand dedicated to fostering the arts in Santa Barbara County, California. With a mission to create, fund, and administer programs and projects that support the arts, they act as a catalyst for maximizing the effectiveness of arts resources and establishing collaborative relationships with other arts organizations. Originally known as the County of Santa Barbara Art Associates, The Arts Fund was formed in 1983 as a private, nonprofit corporation.
Over the years, it has evolved to offer art education, development, and exhibition opportunities for aspiring artists and curators, as well as opportunities for Santa Barbara County residents to appreciate the local arts scene. Located in the Funk Zone, they boast the only Community Gallery in the area, showcasing the work of local artists of all ages and identities. The Arts Fund also provides art education and training to emerging artists, connecting them with the greater community and sponsors.
As the founder and principal organizer of the Funk Zone Art Walk, The Arts Fund is at the heart of the cultural explosion in the Funk Zone
