Artware Fine Art

Founded in 1997 by Greg Page-Turner and Richard Matthews, Artware Fine Art specialises in antique, decorative and historical portraits, topographical pictures, interiors and genre paintings. Its collection spans the 16th century to the present day and includes more than 200 works across oils, watercolours, drawings, sculpture and other media. Historical portraits are presented with researched information about their sitters and artists.

Artware serves private clients and interior decorators, offering advice on buying and selling fine art, collecting, framing, picture cleaning and restoration. Its services include valuations and appraisals, purchasing portraits and topographical pictures, and finding specific works for clients. The company also maintains a database of requested portraits and can notify clients when relevant works reappear, with available details such as photographs, provenance and condition.

For restoration, Artware works with specialists in London, the Home Counties and the West Country to match projects with appropriate expertise and budgets. It is also associated with sister company Commission a Portrait, an agency representing more than 150 portrait artists, sculptors and copyists.
