About ARUWE Uganda
ARUWE Uganda is a non-profit NGO dedicated to empowering marginalized groups, with a special focus on rural women, youth, and children. Established in 2003, ARUWE operates in the Central and West-Nile regions of Uganda. Their mission is to empower women to initiate and manage their socio-economic development processes through community participation, advocacy, and service delivery.
They believe in the power of partnership and work closely with organizations and individuals who share a complementary vision. ARUWE is a member of several networks, including PELUM and UWASNET, and actively participates in the National NGO Forum and HURINET-U. The core values of ARUWE include community participation, transparency and accountability, results orientation, teamwork, and service leadership.
They offer various programs and activities that focus on women's economic and social strengthening, sustainable health communities, climate resilience and justice, and education and lifelong learning. ARUWE encourages everyone to contribute to their cause by donating or volunteering. Together, they aim to create a world where women and children realize their full social-economic and civic potential
