Asafal

ASAFAL, the Asociación de Amigos del Ferrocarril de Almería, is a non-profit, civic-cultural association established in January 1998. Dedicated to railway enthusiasts, it aims to promote the benefits of rail transport while safeguarding Almería's rich railway heritage. ASAFAL supports initiatives that enhance the efficiency and development of rail services in the region.

The association offers a variety of activities including educational train modeling, exhibitions, excursions, and a cinema cycle focused on railway themes. Its museum features a collection of historic locomotives and railway artifacts. ASAFAL also provides a valuable resource for those interested in the history of railroads in Almería through its library and archival materials. As a member of the Federación Española de Asociaciones de Amigos del Ferrocarril and recipient of the Medalla de la Provincia de la Cultura in 2019, ASAFAL is integral in fostering a community around the appreciation and advancement of railway culture in Spain. Join ASAFAL to explore the fascinating world of trains and support their efforts in preserving this unique heritage.
