Asamblea de Cristo is a Pentecostal church in Trenton, founded in 1981 by Rafael Cortés Sr. and Cecilia Cortés. Rafael Cortés Sr. is recognized for establishing the city’s first Hispanic Pentecostal church and for serving the local community, particularly young people at risk. In 1996, Rafael Cortés Jr. and Iris Guzmán-Cortés became the church’s pastors. Today, the congregation has more than 300 members and continues its founding mission: to preach the gospel and share the good news of salvation.
The church offers regular worship services, Bible studies, and times dedicated to fasting and prayer, along with special events and ministry opportunities. Its outreach includes services in Trenton parks, community assistance, and radio ministry. Visitors can watch Sunday sermons on the church website while live services are being prepared. Asamblea de Cristo also welcomes people interested in becoming members and invites them to connect with the church. Its pastoral team includes senior pastors Rafael Cortés Jr. and Iris Cortés, as well as associate pastors Alex Saquic and Verónica Saquic.
