Associació Asaupam

Asaupam is an association focused on community-based intervention around drug use, working in this field since 1999. Its approach combines harm reduction, prevention, social inclusion and collaboration with local communities. The organization supports people who use drugs, including those who are not ready or able to stop, while also helping young people and professionals address drug-related risks.

Asaupam manages programs and resources such as mobile services promoting safer injection, distribution and collection of consumption materials, and peer-informed educational resources. Its outreach teams work in areas where drug use or illicit drug activity occurs, offering practical support, crisis intervention and mediation with residents, businesses and community organizations. The association also provides training and advice for health and social care professionals, and designs, manages and evaluates community drug plans.

For young people, Asaupam delivers age-appropriate workshops, prevention activities in informal settings and educational alternatives to administrative penalties. It also develops pre-employment programs and individual pathways to employment or vocational training, helping participants build connections with the wider community.
