Ascquer

Ascquer is the French association for the certification and qualification of road equipment. Established on 15 December 1992, it serves as a national reference body for NF and CE certification in this sector. Its governance brings together manufacturers and professional organisations, road authorities and infrastructure owners, and technical organisations and laboratories.

The association provides conformity assessment procedures, certification frameworks and information to help users identify certified products and understand applicable requirements. Its certification coverage includes road restraint systems, safety barriers and their components, road markings, permanent and temporary signs, variable-message signs, traffic signals, reflective materials, delineators, road studs, and related equipment such as gantries and supports. Ascquer also publishes product listings, updates to technical annexes and certification rules, regulatory notices, newsletters and other publications.

Alongside certification, its stated activities include work on standardisation, support for innovation and road testing. Through these services and resources, Ascquer supports the qualification of equipment used on roads and helps manufacturers, public authorities and other stakeholders access relevant certification information.
