Ascutney Trails

Ascutney Trails Association (ATA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in West Windsor, Vermont, dedicated to supporting human-powered recreation and preserving the history of Mount Ascutney. The volunteer-run organization manages more than 45 miles of hand-built singletrack mountain biking trails, along with six summit-bound hiking routes that lead to a tower with 360-degree views. In winter, visitors can explore backcountry terrain for skiing and snowshoeing.

ATA provides trail information, including conditions, trailhead locations, directions, and guidance for mountain biking, hiking, and winter adventures. It also organizes group rides, hikes, events, and trail work days, and invites community members to volunteer, become members, or support the trails through donations. The network is open to all without daily fees; contributions help fund trail maintenance, construction, a part-time trail crew, and operating costs. Donations may also support planned projects, while sponsorships help advance trail building, permitting, advocacy, education, events, and special initiatives. ATA offers branded gear and merchandise and works with partners and sponsors to sustain outdoor recreation opportunities around Mount Ascutney.
