ASECOR Clúster del Corcho is an Innovative Business Association (AEI) launched by the Sanvicenteña Association of Cork Entrepreneurs. It is currently composed of companies in the cork sector, along with CICYTEX and the University of Extremadura as knowledge providers. The knowledge about cork is the unifying element of this Cluster, which aims to represent all links in the cork value chain, including the cork industry: owners, managers, and foresters of cork forests, forestry companies, extractors, cork product marketers, and companies that use these products (wine, other alcoholic beverages, construction, furniture, crafts, fashion, sports, etc.

ASECOR Clúster del Corcho's mission is to improve the competitiveness and internationalization of cork sector companies, benefiting themselves and all agents involved in the cork value chain, while also preserving biodiversity and ecosystem services provided by cork forests. They facilitate the formulation and development of collaborative innovation projects involving companies and knowledge providers, promoting the generation, dissemination, and valorization of knowledge necessary for innovation.

Their strategic lines include collaboration, scientific knowledge, project development, and assistance in finding funding sources, partners, suppliers, and collaborators. They offer services such as identifying needs and trends in the wine sector, organizing technical seminars and innovation workshops, providing training, assisting in project management, and improving access to knowledge and promotion in the cork value chain. ASECOR Clúster del Corcho aims to become an excellent Innovative Business Association by 2022, recognized locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally as an active participant in knowledge networks that promote successful innovation introductions, making companies more competitive internationally and more relevant in rural societies
