Asekol

ASEKOL is a nonprofit collective system in the Czech Republic that helps manufacturers and importers meet their obligations for the take-back of electrical equipment. For more than 20 years, it has organized and financed the collection, transport and recycling of end-of-life appliances, working with municipalities, retailers, service providers and waste-collection companies. Its services support manufacturers and sellers with client assistance, information on legal responsibilities, audits and related documentation.

For the public, businesses and local authorities, ASEKOL provides access to a nationwide network of more than 17,000 collection points. Individuals can drop off unwanted electrical appliances free of charge, and a collection service can also be arranged for household appliances through the company’s app or by phone. ASEKOL coordinates delivery to processing facilities, where materials such as metals and plastics are separated for reuse. The organization also promotes recycling awareness, circular-economy practices and social responsibility, including support for projects and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Its stated mission is to reduce environmental impact through responsible collection and recycling.
