Ásfólk is a renowned brand dedicated to Viking martial arts. With a focus on authenticity, our group offers training to students of all ages (7-137) who aspire to fight like Vikings. We prioritize understanding and practicing the actual fighting style employed by Vikings, rather than re-enactment or stage performance.
Through extensive research and analysis of archaeological evidence, sagas, and treatises, we recreate Viking martial arts. Our school weaponry and shields are carefully reproduced, with some components modernized for safety purposes, while maintaining 100% accuracy in terms of size, weight, and handling characteristics. This precision is crucial for developing correct form and comprehension of how the weapons and shields interact.
Our founder and head Instructor, Jarl Arthur, has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Viking martial arts, having studied with esteemed experts in the field. With a dedicated training space located in the warehouse district of Eagan, MN, Ásfólk invites you to embark on a historical journey of Viking martial arts. Join us in discovering the true spirit of Viking combat
