About Acid Survivors Foundation Pakistan
Acid Survivors Foundation Pakistan (ASF Pakistan) is a non-profit organization that aims to eradicate acid violence from Pakistan and ensure the protection and enforcement of survivors' human rights. Acid violence is a horrifying form of torture that involves throwing corrosive acid at victims' faces, resulting in disfigurement and catastrophic effects on their lives. ASF Pakistan works to support survivors of acid attacks and promote the human rights of acid burn and other burn survivors through peaceful and democratic processes.
ASF Pakistan follows a holistic and culture-sensitive approach to address acid and burn violence. Their goals include stopping the proliferation of attacks, providing survivors with the best available medical treatment, helping survivors seek justice and exercise their fundamental rights, and empowering them to become proactive and autonomous citizens. The organization is governed by a board of directors and an executive director who ensures the fulfillment of the organization's commitments.
Through their dedicated efforts, ASF Pakistan envisions a future where Pakistan becomes a country free from acid and burn violence, allowing men, women, and children to fully exercise their basic human rights
