Jsme nezisková organizace na podporu výzkumu léčby vzácných onemocnění. Asociaci jsme založili poté, co jsme se dozvěděli od lékařů, že náš syn Oliver nikdy nebude jako ostatní. Má vzácný Angelmanův syndrom, genetickou vadu projevující se opožděným vývojem, obtížemi při chůzi, epilepsií, poruchou spánku a dalšími neblahými projevy. Iniciovali jsme výzkum, který hledá léčbu nejen pro našeho syna Olivera, ale který má potenciál nalézt léčbu i pro řadu dalších v tuto chvíli nevyléčitelných nemocí. Bez vás to nedokážeme! Pomozte financovat výzkum léčby a dejte tak naději lidem, kteří jsou zatím nevyléčitelně nemocní. Věda se stále posouvá a vědci věří, že řešení leží nedaleko. Společně můžeme změnit životy celých rodin, které se dennodenně potýkají s ohromně náročným osudem. A to za to stojí!

About Asociace genové terapie
Asociace genové terapie, z. s. (Asgent) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the research and treatment of rare diseases through gene therapy.
With a mission to connect the worlds of science, medicine, and patients, Asgent aims to create a better future for those affected by rare genetic conditions, ensuring they have easy access to the treatment they need for a healthy and fulfilling life. As the first non-governmental organization in the Czech Republic actively involved in researching rare diseases, Asgent funds research and potential drugs for these conditions, which affect more than 350 million people worldwide. Through the inspiring stories of children with Angelman syndrome and the support of organizations, scientists are making significant progress in finding possible treatments for rare diseases.
