The project is built by a diverse group of Asians in diaspora who share an interest in food, language, and the internet. Its dictionary features a multilingual index of ingredients, with full-color photographs, and entries are described as triple-checked to support clear, reliable reference.
The project is currently under construction as its team reorganizes the dictionary for a new format. Rather than continuing to build it solely online, they plan to publish a series of printed zines, each covering a small group of related entries. The longer-term hope is that the zines will eventually form a book. In the meantime, readers can stay informed by signing up for the newsletter or following the project on Instagram.
