About ASIFA East
ASIFA-East is a vibrant and inclusive community of animation professionals and enthusiasts based in the New York Tri-State area and beyond. As the Eastern U. S.
With a focus on feedback, collaboration, and support, ASIFA-East encourages the development of independent and commissioned animation projects. They organize monthly workshops, panel discussions, and screenings that explore important animation issues and topics. After events, members often socialize at a local pub.
One of the highlights of ASIFA-East's calendar is the annual Animation Festival and Awards Ceremony, which attracts participation from the local animation industry. This much-anticipated event celebrates the art and craft of animation. Membership fees, festival submissions, and other contributions go directly towards the organization.
These funds support the Festival Awards Ceremony, website upkeep, event promotions, hosting space, refreshments, and insurance. Memberships are regularly renewed, and reminders are sent to ensure that you have ample time to pay your annual dues. Automatic renewal is also available for your convenience
