ASIFMA, the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association, is an independent regional trade association representing more than 150 financial industry firms across Asia. Its members include leading institutions from both the buy and sell sides, such as banks, asset managers, professional firms and market infrastructure service providers. ASIFMA works to advance liquid, deep, broad, efficient and transparent capital markets in the region, supporting Asia’s economic growth and its orderly integration into the global financial system.
The association brings together members to engage with market and policy issues and publishes research, consultation responses and other resources on topics affecting financial markets. It also offers education and training, including its Asia Financial Markets Explained series, and convenes industry participants through conferences and events. ASIFMA is part of the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA) alliance, which provides a forum for regional associations to address issues with global implications.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, ASIFMA also has an office in Singapore and serves as a platform for industry collaboration and dialogue
