Asikkalan Pursiseura ry (Asikkala Yacht Club, APS) is a Finnish boating association founded in 1962 and affiliated with Suomen Purjehdus ja Veneily, Finland’s sailing and boating federation. Based in Asikkala, the club promotes boating in the municipality and surrounding area. Its 241 members operate club-registered motorboats and sailboats, and mostly cruise on the clear waters of Lake Päijänne, with canal access to other parts of the Kymijoki water system.
The club owns a welcoming base on Pirttisaari in southern Tehinselkä. Facilities include buoy and mooring-line berths, a substantial pier, sauna, barbecue shelter, dishwashing area, club hut and toilets. Members also have access to home-harbour berths in locations including Asikkala and Padasjoki, plus winter storage at Kuotaan shore with coordinated launching and hauling.
APS supports boating through practical training, advisory services, boat inspections, sailing and boating competitions, social events and volunteer work. Its junior programme is led chiefly through the South Päijänne Dinghy Centre, operated in cooperation with two other regional sailing clubs.
