Asilo Maria Adelaide is a private early childhood school in the historic center of La Spezia, Italy, and a member of the FISM network of recognized preschools. Founded in 1853 by local citizens as the Asilo Infantile di Spezia, it was established to support children from families in need and those whose parents worked at the nearby naval arsenal. The school later took its current name in honor of benefactor Maria Adelaide of Savoy and remains one of the city’s oldest educational institutions.
