ASIM Escrime is a friendly, active fencing club based in Illzach, serving the Mulhouse area and welcoming children and adults. For nearly a quarter of a century, the club has introduced people to fencing and helped them develop their skills. Members can practise foil and sabre, choosing a recreational or competitive approach according to their interests. Training takes place three times a week in the club’s equipped salle, and complete equipment is available for introductory sessions.
The club presents fencing as a sport built on respect and self-control, combining speed, precision, reflexes, concentration and tactical thinking. Although it is an individual combat sport, it depends on having a partner and can also be practised in teams. Children can start from age six, while adults are welcome at any age.
ASIM Escrime also promotes fencing across the Haut-Rhin and Alsace through participation in local events. It organises an annual tournament that attracts competitors from the region. The club shares training information, event dates, news and useful resources for members and visitors.
