About Asisebenze
Asisebenze Art Atelier (AAA) is a unique collaboration situated in downtown Johannesburg, fostering both emerging and established African artists. The six-story building at 28 Plein Street serves as a hub for creativity and growth, providing artist studios, materials, and professional guidance. This space not only supports artists in expressing their talents but also helps them achieve commercial success.
Asisebenze aims to create a sustainable fine arts ecosystem for Africa's emerging talent, offering a combination of gallery, studio space, and art dealership. The vibrant energy within the Blue Plaque Heritage Building reflects Joburg's cosmopolitan spirit, with artworks depicting contemporary African life. Artists' works are available to the public by appointment, and art dealers can arrange tours by contacting the curator, Nolan Stevens.
