ASKnet (Access to Skills & Knowledge network) is a cross-border consortium of community-led organizations connecting youth innovators, community hubs, and changemakers in South Sudan and neighboring countries. Founded by young South Sudanese innovators, the network is governed by a steering committee representing its member organizations and works to strengthen a sustainable, community-driven media and innovation ecosystem.

The network provides access to open-source knowledge and information, media and IT training, and practical, community-oriented skills development. Its work includes peer-to-peer learning, open technology innovation, collaboration, and creative programs that help communities address local challenges, build livelihoods, and amplify their voices. Key focus areas are community empowerment, media for democracy, and open culture, including media literacy, storytelling, peacebuilding, and sharing accessible tools and resources.

With 13 member organizations listed in 2025, #ASKnet brings together hubs in South Sudan and Uganda, including initiatives based in Juba and refugee settlements. The consortium is supported by r0g_agency and Hive Colab, with funding from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development for 2022–2025.
