The Ménière’s Syndrome Association of Spain (ASMES) is a national nonprofit organization supporting people affected by Ménière’s disease. Founded in 2016 and declared an organization of public utility in 2023, it brings together patients, families, and specialized professionals from across Spain. ASMES aims to guide and assist people living with the condition, support research, and foster greater understanding among patients, relatives, healthcare professionals, and the wider community.

Its services include information and guidance for people who have recently received a diagnosis, along with resources to help patients and families better understand the disease and its impact. The association shares news and updates on Ménière’s-related topics, research, and its activities, and offers a free monthly newsletter. ASMES also promotes awareness initiatives, including its observance of February 7 as a day of awareness and its campaign to secure recognition of a National Ménière’s Syndrome Day in Spain. Through events such as its multidisciplinary congress, the organization brings together professionals from fields including otolaryngology, psychology, nursing, audiology, and vestibular physiotherapy to discuss care and quality of life. It also invites people to become members, donate, and volunteer.
