About ASNEP
ASNEP (Asociace organizací neslyšících, nedoslýchavých a jejich přátel) is a Czech association founded in 1992 to advocate for individuals with hearing impairments. Instead of addressing individual needs, ASNEP tackles hearing impairment issues systematically. With the support of its members and affiliated organizations, ASNEP processes their input and presents it to state institutions and the public.
Expert commissions under ASNEP focus on legislative matters, subtitles, interpreting, education, and social work. Commission leaders handle specialized topics and represent the community in key discussions. ASNEP also acts as a mediator between the public and the deaf/hard-of-hearing community and their organizations, providing advice, connections, and expert opinions.
