ASOCECA, the Association of People with Celiac Disease and Gluten Sensitivity of the Canary Islands, supports individuals and families navigating celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. The association provides information about diagnosis, related conditions, gluten-free diets, food classification and labeling, safe cooking, medications, and the consequences of not following a gluten-free diet. Its resources include downloadable documents, medical information, recipes, and guidance on the registered Crossed Grain symbol.

ASOCECA also offers education and community support through monthly talks, training events, and practical gluten-free cooking workshops. Its projects include comprehensive support for patients and their families, awareness sessions in Gran Canaria schools, food distribution to families experiencing vulnerability, and a gluten-free restaurant initiative. The organization shares information about establishments and collaborating businesses, helping people find relevant gluten-free options. People can join as members, and businesses can collaborate with the association. With 550 members, 68 collaborating businesses, and a record of training events and recipes, ASOCECA works to improve understanding and everyday support for the gluten-free community across the Canary Islands.
