Asociace Adiktologů

The Czech Association of Addictologists (ČAA) is a professional association uniting people involved in addictology through shared professional and specialist interests. It advocates for the addictologist profession and works to develop addictology as a non-physician healthcare profession in the Czech Republic. The association supports its members through education, professional representation, and initiatives to strengthen recognition of their work. It develops, promotes, and delivers initial and continuing education through university and non-university pathways, in accordance with applicable legislation. It also supports research, knowledge sharing, and professional development through conferences, training sessions, and lectures.

ČAA contributes to the development of addictology services and their conceptual framework, making proposals to relevant authorities and cooperating with organizations in related fields. It represents members in discussions with public bodies and institutions, and contributes to debates on legislation and regulations affecting addictology services and substance policy. Its activities also include domestic and international cooperation and support for programmes that prepare addictologists and other professionals who provide addiction-related services.
