About Asociaci
Asociación Provincia Llanquihue is a collective of 9 municipalities in the Llanquihue province, dedicated to sustainable waste management and environmental stewardship. Our goal is to address common challenges in handling household solid waste and promote eco-friendly practices. Municipalities such as Calbuco, Cochamó, Fresia, Frutillar, Llanquihue, Los Muermos, Maullín, Puerto Montt, and Puerto Varas are actively involved in our initiatives.
We aim to transform the La Laja Sanitary Landfill into a Comprehensive Waste Treatment Center through a collaborative model emphasizing waste prevention, minimization, and valorization. Stay updated with our latest endeavors, like the rejection of the contract termination with Interaseo and the temporary transfer of landfill management to the Municipalities Association.
