About Asociación SALIMAR
Salimar is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2019 with the aim of promoting and cooperating in the development of the solely marine salt industry. Their mission is to combine sustainability, economic development, and rural employment maintenance in this industry. Salimar brings together five of Spain's most important salt producers, accounting for 85% of the market share for sea salt.
If you are a producer of exclusively marine salt and share their goals, you can become a member of Salimar. As for their production areas, Salimar has five major salt producers as founding partners: Marítima de Sales in Cádiz, Infosa in Tarragona, Salinas de Es Trenc in Mallorca, Salinera Española in Ibiza and Murcia, and Bras del Port in Alicante. Salimar's efforts contribute to the development of rural areas and the promotion of environmental health.
