Asparmig

ASPARMIG, the Association of People with Parkinson’s in Minas Gerais, is a community organization supporting people with Parkinson’s disease and their families. Since 2012, it has provided information, guidance, activities, and opportunities for mutual support, with the goal of improving members’ quality of life. Its approach emphasizes care for each person as an individual, addressing both physical and mental well-being.

The association offers a range of therapeutic and educational services, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, physical education, nutrition, pain-relief fascial release, art therapy, and massage therapy. It also organizes workshops, classes, lectures, exercise activities, social gatherings, and solidarity events. Resources generated through its activities are reinvested in maintaining and expanding its programs.

ASPARMIG shares guidance for people living with Parkinson’s and those who care for them, and hosts events such as educational symposia. Guided by ethical principles, resilience, and solidarity, the organization seeks to strengthen support networks and contribute to better lives for members and families through partnerships with public and private organizations.
